🎹 A Python on the Prom: Laughter, Legends & a Day to Remember in Colwyn Bay🎹
Well… what a few weeks it has been!
If we’re being honest, I (Tracey) haven’t quite been myself lately — overthinking content, wondering what people want to see, and putting a bit too much pressure on getting things “just right.”
And then along came a day that reminded me exactly what it’s all about…
🎠A Python on the Prom
The unveiling of the “Naked Pianist/organist” statue, celebrating the wonderfully unique Terry Jones, was nothing short of brilliant.
Colwyn Bay came alive in the most joyful, slightly chaotic, and perfectly fitting way.
We had:
- Silly walks happening along the promenade
- Knights wandering through town
- The occasional very enthusiastic rabbitÂ
- And smiles — everywhere
It was one of those days where you couldn’t help but laugh.

đź’› Hosting Something Special
What made it even more meaningful for us at Bryn Woodlands House was the people we had the privilege to host.
Some of our guests knew Terry personally, and hearing their stories added a whole new layer to the day. There was something really special about being part of that — not just watching an event, but sharing in the memories behind it.
And one moment that will stay with us for a long time…
One of the guests told us she has been visiting the UK since 1979 from the US, and that her stay with us was the best she has ever had.
Those are the words that stay with you. The ones that remind you why you do what you do.

It’s not just a seaside town — it’s a place that embraces fun, creativity, and community. A place where something as wonderfully quirky as a Monty Python tribute feels completely at home.
And honestly? We love that about it.
