The Toad restaurant in Colwyn Bay on the North Wales Coast is one of the finest food led establishments in the area.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
The Queen's Head is something of a hidden gem nestled in the charming village of Glanwydden, just outside the rather larger ‘villages’ of Llandudno and Penrhyn Bay. Following a recent refurbishment the pub still maintains its quintessential feeling as a Welsh village pub with its low beamed ceilings, lots of wood, crackling log fires in the winter, profusions of colour in the gardens in summer and the warmest of welcomes at all times of the year. We just have given the girl some more space by adding a bright garden room and a new state of the art kitchen for our talented team of chefs to be even more creative in.
Our bar is stocked with a good range of cask ales, some local and some from further afield, a well-balanced list of quality wines and an extensive range of quality malts and gins. The oldest part of the pub houses our snug which is popular with our locals, popping in for a swift half or G&T in the sun. Whilst our light and airy dining room is a lovely corner for a bite to eat. Our terrace and gardens are an ideal spot in the ever too brief warmer weather, whilst out there you might even spot our local flock of ducks which often pass by the pub for their daily dip in the stream.
Our menu changes on a regular basis and is written and designed by our team of creative chefs, all of whom have a passion for quality, fresh, local produce. The menu is a mix of classic British dishes and also some more interesting modern dishes with an international influence.

So with that said we hope that your tastebuds can handle our mouthwatering dishes that originate from Madeira!

A passion ignited .... A legendary road trip across Texas and Louisiana ignited a passion to bring home the flavours, culture and hospitality of the Southern States. Slow cooked meats lie at the heart of our menu and the smokers at the heart of our restaurants. Your Rhos-on-Sea Smokehouse .... Our little slice of ‘Southern Style’ heaven on the North Wales coast.Set in the beautiful seaside town of Rhos-On-Sea, We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and serve a smokin’ breakfast & brunch from Friday to Sunday.
The Pen-y-Bryn might look a little bit like a medical centre from the front, but inside, you’ll find lovely oak floors, open fires, bookcases and old furniture: it all looks very handsome, and we think its unassuming looks from the outside add to the feeling of making a gloriously serendipitous discovery. We have a stunning garden and terrace, and our garden windows have panoramic views out over the sea and the Great Orme so you can sit back and take in the scenery after a long ramble or a hearty meal.
The Cottage Loaf, a traditional country pub nestled in the heart of the seaside town of Llandudno. ‘The Loaf’ as we are affectionately known, has everything you would expect from a Welsh country pub; open fires, wooden beams, old heavy furniture, colourful gardens, great cask ales and hearty homemade food served by a friendly face. Oddly enough though, you’ll find us hidden down a back street in centre of Llandudno….we feel this only adds to the pub’s charm and quirkiness. Our bustling bar offers an array of local cask and craft beers, along with world beers and a guest draught cider or two. We’ve got some cracking wines behind the bar, a strong selection of Scotland’s finest, as well as some other interesting and quality spirits. Our spacious pub has ample seating both indoors and out including our recently added garden room which opens out onto our courtyard garden, a great little sun trap for those oh-so-brief warm sunny days. Our hearty homemade menu seems to pull folk from near and far…. locally sourced where we can, with our meat coming from the butchers just next door! Wholesome pub classics can be found on our menu mixed with a number of interesting seasonal specials from our enthusiastic and creative crew in the kitchen. Our team of chefs use only fresh produce to ensure quality and freshness in every dish, and hopefully give you a flavour of the local area. Our location is perfect for enjoying some of the great attractions Llandudno has to offer as well as some of the stunning walks and scenery in the area. Well, there is nothing quite like a pub lunch after working up an appetite!
The White Lion Inn, Llanelian yn Rhos, just outside Colwyn Bay, in Conwy, North Wales; a beautiful historic Olde Worlde Country Pub and Restaurant with log fires, good traditional food, fine wines, and real ales, all served up in a family friendly relaxed atmosphere. The White Lion is possibly the oldest country inn in North Wales with parts of the building reputed to date back over 1200 years; part of the existing pub served as a shippon and a granary, very apt you might think. The current building still retains its original Welsh slate floor and oak beamed ceiling: a 19th century church pew is utilised as one of the seats for customers. We have not forgotten the 21st century and offer a free WiFi service to help you keep in touch with today’s electronic age.The pub has featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for over 20 years and recently received an award. We are proud to be Cask Marque registered and always carry a mix of local and national real ale. We are also one of only five “Approved” entries in the Good Pub Guide within a twenty mile radius. In addition to Real Ales, we have developed, with Majestic Wines, an extensive Wine List to offer customers the perfect accompaniment to their meal.We offer a wide selection of food from sandwiches to beautiful home cooked meals, coupled with our personal service to make your visit memorable and hopefully one of many.
